Mechanical Assembly Technician, Zurich

We at Witty Machines are looking for a reliable person to join us on a flexible, ongoing basis for mechanical assembly and testing work. This is a long-term, hourly-paid position — not a one-off gig. You'd be assembling and testing the same type of machine over time, so the learning curve pays off and the work gets smoother and faster as you go.

What you'll do:

• Assemble industrial machines (case packers) from components according to CAD models
• Perform functional testing and basic troubleshooting after assembly
• Work independently once you're familiar with the build process

Hours: 0–20 hours per week, flexible scheduling by arrangement. Some weeks there may be no work; others may be busier. We'll coordinate in advance.

Location: 8004 Zürich

Compensation: CHF 40/hour

What We're Looking For

• Solid mechanical assembly skills — you're comfortable working with hand tools, wrenches, and precision components
• Ability to read and work from 3D CAD models (e.g., Fusion, SolidWorks, or similar)
• Careful, methodical approach to assembly work
• Reliable and communicative — if you can't make it, you let us know ahead of time
• Some english language skills

Nice to have:

• Ability to read simple electrical schematics (wiring, sensors, basic control components)
• Experience with industrial machinery, packaging equipment, or similar
